Landlords

We get regular enquiries from Landlords and Letting Agents, asking us to conduct the PAT Testing for their properties or business units.

There are two types of service here:

• Per house/property, and
• Per shop/retail unit

Per house/property is PAT Testing for landlords or letting agents whereby someone is or is going to live in a ‘home’ they let. When PAT Testing is conducted, it is on all electrical appliances in the property that connect to the mains with a plug. This could be fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, Television, etc.

For this service we charge standard rates of:

• £30 per property for up to 50 properties
• £25 per property for 51+ properties

We charge a set rate as with property there is usually a lot of travelling involved, so petrol etc. has to be covered. There is also more paper work as certificates for each property have to be issued individually.

Per shop/retail unit This service is for landlords/owners of business property, perhaps the owner of a chain of sandwich shops or carpet shops. For this it’s more difficult to give a price as you may have 10 items on each site, or 100, we can discuss this with you. We do operate a minimum fee for this:

• Up to 5 sites £45.00 including the first 15 items
• 6+ sites £35 including the first 15 items
