Why you need portable appliances testing..
To comply with UK Health and Safety regulations electrical equipment provided for use must be maintained to a safe standard; the equipment must be checked periodically to ensure standards are being maintained and whether any maintenance is required.
It is widely recognised that the best way to do that is to get a portable appliance test done – the inspection by the engineer and test by the machine will check the appliance for damage and faults that prevent it being safe, and a successful test will confirm the appliance is safe – thus you comply with the requirements.
When does equipment need testing?
An initial test should be carried out followed by repeat tests (or inspections) at intervals appropriate to the associated risks.
We will manage this process for you – we’ll put in place appropriate intervals between the first tests and next due; some appliances will only need an inspection but we’ll manage all that for you.
