PAT Testing by DRA Electricals is a professional service, always with the client being our priority. We never cut corners, don't cut costs and ensure we give you peace of mind, through the quality and high standards of our work.
We initialise a PAT programme from the start:
• Provide compliance with Health & Safety regulations
• Carry out a full audit of your equipment
• Carry out testing based on IEE guidelines
• Reduce your costs long term
• Reduce the risk of injuries and legal claims
• Improve insurance terms
Our PAT Testing service provides a high quality personalised programme.
Our qualified staff are specialists in electrical testing, and provide a reliable, professional service.
• We operate with an initial fee of £45.00, which includes the first 15 items and covers all costs
• Thereafter charging is per item, which is discounted dependant upon item numbers
• We research our competitors regularly ensuring our prices are always competitive
• Our staff use correctly calibrated professional Seaward PAT Testing Machines
• No hidden costs; we are upfront about all costs
• Free small repairs carried out; quotes given for bigger repairs
• Test reports, certificates, CD rom documentation and your own unique testing programme is all included in the initial fee
• Further discounted rates for non-profit making organisations such as community groups or Amateur Theatre
We aim to cause as little disruption to your business as possible, however testing can be an inconvenience, especially in a busy office, so we provide out of hours services at no extra cost to you;
• 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• No maximum working day (we don’t stop after 8 hours)
• You don’t need to have everything unplugged waiting for us; we work around you
We can work any time that suits you, even if that means working whilst you do. We are professional, so we are quiet and will disrupt your staff as little as possible. When testing an appliance it has to be unplugged so can’t be worked on. This should be considered when arranging testing times:
Testing a desktop PC requires the testing of the base unit, monitor, power (IEC) leads, each taking approximately 4 minutes. So it is approximately 16 minutes to test a PC. If there is a printer connected, it, and its lead must be tested too.
We offer discounts for regular clients;
• If you pay your invoice within 7 working days, we will discount your next invoice by 10%
• We guarantee to beat any genuine like for like quote you have been given
• Multiple property discounts for Landlords

PAT Testing, or Portable Appliance Testing, as the name suggests is not only the testing of appliances that are portable, but any appliance that is plugged into the electricity supply, and can be moved without disconnecting the supply. For example, an item that is wired directly into the socket, power supply etc. is not PAT Tested, such as a hand dryer in toilets. However a fridge in a shop that is plugged into a wall is tested, even though it is not easy to move.
