If you are going for health and safety accreditation to any one of the many contractors’ bodies you are going to need first class PAT testing records; a sheet of paper saying “certificate for PAT testing” is no use on its own; you need proper records of each appliance including the test results obtained by the testing machine.
The state of some of the PAT testing reports that we see is shocking; most would never hold up under scrutiny in a court of law. If your report doesn’t list each item with a unique ID number, and the electrical readings obtained it’s not going to be much use. Accreditation bodies require the same information.
We appreciate that you are probably being forced into this action, for your inspection, but you are actually required to maintain safe electrical equipment (and keep records) anyway, so it’s not asking for anything you shouldn’t already have.
But we will do our best to help you, and keep it as simple as possible. We’ll come to you, test what needs testing, do repairs if needed, and provide you with a PAT Test Certificate that will pass any inspection – over 10 years experience has taught us that. As an added bonus we are CHAS accredited ourselves so we know what they expect. The requirements are basically the same whether you’re going for Safe Contractors, Construction line, etc.
We promise you that we will carry out repairs to ensure your equipment is safe, and provide you with a fully itemised PAT Test Certificate to ensure you comply with the regulations. We will do this at a time that is convenient to you (we operate 24/7) within minimal disruption to your business or home.
We do all this at affordable, competitive PAT testing prices usually at a fixed rate so there are no shocks when the invoice comes in.
We are also able to offer electrical testing for fixed appliances, your main wiring installation and emergency lighting.
