Arranging your PAT testing in Hetton le Hole couldn’t be easier

To get started we just need some basic information, such as what type of business you have, what kind of equipment you have, how much equipment you have and where you are located. From there we can usually give you a price over the phone or by email. If things are a bit more complicated or you have a lot of equipment, it may be best to arrange for us to visit your site before we finalise a price.

Who is DRA PAT Testing?

In 2009 Richard Ayre founded DRA PAT Testing. We are now recognised as one of the UK’s leading electrical equipment testing companies with more 5-Star Google reviews than any other North East electrical testing company. We specialise in “PAT” testing and inspect approximately 250,000 electrical appliances every year.

Electrical safety is very important in all workplaces, and it is a legal requirement in the UK to maintain safe electrical systems, which includes the mains wiring of a property and the appliances within it. An up to date PAT Testing Certificate Report from us will give you everything you need to safeguard your company and comply with UK regulations. Whether you have one appliance or thousands, we can help you.

Richard is also the Operations Director of the Portable Appliance Testing Trade Association (PATTA) which is raising standards in the industry and recently helped write the latest guidance for electrical equipment testing – the Code of Practice for Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.

Electrical Safety Services

To try to make life as easy as possible for you, our clients, we can help you with a host of electrical testing needs. Between us and our electrician we can help you tick off your electrical safety requirements. We provide these services and more.

PAT Testing

In the event of an accident, an investigation will need to see evidence that your electrical equipment has been recently maintained to appropriate safety standards – a PAT Testing Certificate Report (with electrical readings) will provide that.

Microwave Emissions Testing

Additional checks should be carried out on Microwave ovens to make sure the door and other seals are doing their job, and keeping the micro-waves inside. If they leak out this can lead to user illness, and nobody wants that. So we check ovens for emissions leakage.

Fixed Wiring Inspections – EICR’s

As well as your appliances you also need to make sure the mains wiring is safe too; this doesn’t need doing as often as PAT, but should be carried out every 5 to 10 years whether your property is used for commercial or domestic reasons.

Whilst we can’t help you if you’re moving house and need an EICR, we can do work for landlords and in commercial and industrial facilities.

Our electrical engineer is registered with the NICEIC so you get the compliant certificates that you require.

The EICR is often referred to as a periodic inspection report or fixed wiring inspection.
